A few months ago I was debating dropping or redoing a humanities course because I thought it would tank my GPA (if anybody remembers).

Anyways. A lot of people here told me to relax — that first year isn’t the end of the world and to just push through. I ended up listening.

Final results:
- Course A - A+ (6 cr)
- Course B - A (6 cr)
- Political science: A (6 cr)
- Course C - A (low 80s)
- Humanities: B 💔 (9 cr)

I won’t lie, I’m still disappointed about that humanities mark, especially since it was a heavier course. But looking back, I’m glad I didn’t drop it.

My goal is law school (ideally UofT/Osgoode or similar), so I’ve been pretty stressed about GPA. But I think the bigger takeaway is:
- First year is an adjustment period
- One weaker mark won’t kill you
- Learning how to recover matters more than being perfect early on

Appreciate the advice I got here earlier — it actually helped me make the right call. That being said, this fraudulent ahh performance ain’t happening again 💪🏼

If anyone’s in the same spot stressing about one course: don’t panic. Just finish strong and improve next year. LOCK IN 🐐🐐
