I hired someone to put beadboard paneling up in my house. Did my due diligence in hiring and he seemed good. He was middle of the price range and all the paperwork checked out. But I got this - gaps around the door and window trim and wonky cuts. Yes I know I could deal with him and demand he fix it but honestly I’m fighting for other things in my life and just don’t have it in me to take that on.

I’d like advice on how to go about fixing it without replacing the panel. At the ceilings I’m going to put small crown molding. Is there something like that I can do around the trim? Can I fill it in with drywall putty? I’m going to be painting the panels anyway. TIA
