First time at Red Room Nashville questions
Let me preface this by saying I have social anxiety. It’s nothing I can’t manage, but I like to know as much about a new place as I can before I go.
In a few days we (F-44, M-49) will visit the Red Room in Nashville for the first time. I’ve read some experiences, watched some videos, searched this sub and read all I could find. However I have a few questions that I couldn’t find the answers to. Probably because they are kind of specific/detail oriented.
So onto some questions!
I know it’s byob and they have mixers. But what do you do with your alcohol? Keep it with you? In a bag or cooler? Do you keep it at your table or take it to the bar? And what do you do with that bag or cooler if you go dance or play? I don’t want to hog a table but it’s always nice to have a designated spot for your stuff and to sit down sometimes.
I also don’t want to step on the toes of any of the regulars that might frequent certain tables. How do I avoid that? Especially since I’d like to go right when they open to have a look around?
What kind of shoes do you wear? I know nicer shoes but what about playing? Just leave shoes on? Go barefoot? (shudder) or bring some slip ons?
Are the VIP booths worth getting?
I know it’s a lot of detail questions but I appreciate anyone that will take the time to chime in and answer.
