I just peeped the Spotify stat thing that dropped and it says Lone my most listened to artist oat😭Anyone else have him at 1 and how many minutes yall got?
I picked up the Ship in a Bottle set for real cheap (hence the lack of ship) off FB marketplace. I tentatively fit a coffee-sipping Vader, but it doesn’t really fill up the space how I’d like. Any recs for a different micro fighter that’d look better in here? Thanks!
I know this era is a lil glazed on this sub but with it being THREE whole years, I’m just tryna show love
ILCK is Lone at his best creatively, the beats and atmosphere are peak, creating a style and pocket uniquely suited for him, with that dark and spacey ambient vibe. I feel like you can’t talk about this era without mentioning the DEEP bag of unreleased we have, showcasing how versatile yet specifically tailored this sound was for HIM. Like how insane is it we got the 200x leak and STILL be getting new songs from this era to this day😭
ILCK is also easily his most fleshed out, especially outside the music. We got so much content with such a quick turnaround from NS, it’s honestly impressive how Lone created a whole world around this album. His entire aesthetic was the most curated it’s ever been, the fits were all hard and genuinely trend setting for a moment in time. He managed to secure some insane collabs and publicity too, like the Look Killa short film, the Vitamin Water collab, and 'how u feel?' being featured in the Insidious movie
This whole era is damn near lightning in a bottle, and I wouldn't want Lone to go back or try to replicate it. I think DDG is genuinely the next logical step in the progression of his sound, and I can’t wait to hear him rock out in the future. Regardless, how has this album / era aged for you 3 years later, and what are your fav tracks?
