t-shots and blood tests while away from gp?
i started t today, after spending 9 years on waiting lists and the last two months arguing back and forth with the clinic because endo keep making mistakes lol. im currently at university about 7 hours away from my home town. my current gp is right next to my uni.
i originally planned to stay here over summer, but due to an issue with housing, and some family situations back home, im instead having to travel back next month, then return here in september. because of this, im getting pretty worried about if im going to actually be able to get my HRT or not.
im on sustanon, which i know i can self-inject, and the gp also advised i learn how to do this for future doses. when i asked about that at my appointment today, though, they said they didnt know how i would go about it, and to ask pharmacy. i went and asked pharmacy, who told me they didnt know either. not sure what to do there.
im going to contact them some time this week, but the thing i really dont know how to work around is the blood tests. i dont know if theres a way to get the blood test done in my home town, when the test has been ordered by the gp here? or if there would be another way to do it?
no gp in my home town take on temporary patients, which i know is suggested often for uni students, so thats not an option. right now, the only thing i can think of is if i just... travelled for 7 hours every 4 weeks just for a blood test, which isnt realistic. if anyone has any advice here, id really appreciate it.
