I host watch parties and the World Cup setup question has been on my mind for a while.
Regular movie nights are easy. World Cup is different: multiple games a day, a real group over, and sometimes I want to move the whole thing to the backyard for an evening match. The audio has to actually carry for goals and crowd noise, not just background dialogue.
Separate speakers and a receiver sound better on paper. but the second you want to move everything outside, that setup stops being practical. cheap all-in-one projectors tend to disappoint on audio specificaly, built-in speakers on budget models are usually an afterthought and it really shows.
the Nebula X1 Pro is where I keep landing in the premium all-in-one category. 4K triple laser, high brightness, speaker setup that's supposed to actually carry the room. not cheap, and if you're not hosting regularly it's probably more than you need. but for something that moves between living room and backyard without a pile of extra gear, it fits the use case.
