The most brilliant joke in Widow's Bay. Change my mind

Are there any shows that have jokes similar to this? Only one I can think of is "barring" the door in Widow's Bay itself.

Nicknamed the "finger of death," this underwater ice tendril forms when supercooled, super-salty brine sinks from sea ice into warmer ocean water below, freezing everything it touches, including nearby starfish and sea urchins. First filmed forming in 2011 for BBC's Frozen Planet.

UGC mistakes that i made in the beginning

I saw almost everybody youtube video about ugc but no one talked about these type of mistakes that UGC creators make in the beginning ( including me i have made these mistakes too)

  1. Giving unlimited revisions Some creators agree to “a few revisions” without defining what that means. That can quickly turn one project into hours of unpaid work.
  2. Ignoring usage rights Your creation fee and the brand's right to use your content are two different things. Paid ads, extended usage, and additional platforms can all affect what you should charge.
  3. Making every video look the same If your portfolio has ten videos with the same framing, hook, delivery, and editing style, brands have less reason to hire you for different campaigns.
  4. Stopping after sending one pitch A lot of creators send one email or DM and move on. Follow-ups are where many conversations actually start.

What to expect on exam day?

I wrote the MCAT this month and I thought it would be helpful if I made a post sharing my experience at the testing site. I know i am late but this might help people giving exam next year

Everything except my ID and locker key had to go in a small personal locker so keep that in mind for test day Even though the exam started at 8 AM, we were told thered be no penalty for starting late once everyone arrived we did a palm scan and took a photo Before entering they checked my ID scanned my palm again and patted me down including checking my hair for hidden notes

Once I passed the security check, the TA walked me over to my cubicle. There was a whiteboard, two markers, and headphones already on the desk. The TA signed into the computer so I could start the exam. I chose to do the tutorial to calm my nerves a bit, and there was "brain dump" option which i skipped, The noise-cancelling earphones worked great, Since everyone is admitted into the room at different times, test-takers also begin the exam at different times that could be distracting, when I finished C/P, I took a break, for that i had to call my TA and click "start break" which starts a timer of 10 mins, with the exception of the 30 min lunch break.

Since everyone finished their sections at different times, I didn't have to wait in line to get back into the testing room. The security check never took more than a couple of minutes, and that was only because the palm-vein scan didn't always work. halfway through my exam, like before the psych section, I ran out of pages on my whiteboard notebook. Thankfully the TAs have a seemingly unlimited supply of notebooks, so getting a new one was no issue.

At the end, I had to fill out a short survey, but I was too tired to bother. I grabbed my stuff, got my phone bag checked, and that was basically it. The whole exam went by really smoothly and quickly. Some people were still testing, while others had already left. A few even went the entire exam without a break, which I could never do.

The 200-Year-Old Condom

A nearly 200-year-old condom, made around 1830, most likely from a sheep’s appendix or intestinal lining, which went on public display at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam starting June 3, 2025, as part of an exhibition called “Safe Sex?” The museum’s print curators spotted it at an auction house in Haarlem and bought it for the Rijksprentenkabinet (print room) with support from the F.G. Waller Fund. It’s an extraordinary survival, only two examples of this specific type are known to exist anywhere in the world, and UV testing showed it had never actually been used.

What makes it remarkable isn’t just its age but what’s printed directly onto its surface: an etched, satirical image of a nun seated with her legs apart, pointing toward one of three aroused clergymen standing before her, each lifting his robes to reveal himself. Beneath the scene runs the French inscription “Voilà mon choix”, “This is my choice” , a joke that layers together a dig at clerical celibacy with a parody of the Greek myth of the Judgment of Paris, in which a mortal man is forced to pick the most beautiful of three goddesses. According to the Rijksmuseum’s own curator of prints, Joyce Zelen, the sophistication of the joke suggests it was made for an educated, wealthy clientele rather than the general public, likely commissioned as a novelty souvenir from a French brothel rather than an object anyone actually intended to use. At roughly 20 centimeters long, it’s also unusually large, reinforcing the idea that it was made to be looked at and laughed over rather than worn.

I provide companion for solo travelers

Not every traveler has a travel buddy and while some just want to travel alone, others still hire me as their professional companion throughout the entire trip abroad. Starting this side hustle is easy, you just have to advertise yourself on different social media platforms, have a trusted profile, and build your portfolio with local travelers. Doesn’t have to be somewhere far when you’re just starting, so long as it can build enough trust for people to trust you as a travel buddy.

Before a traveler decides to fly, they book a session with me as their professional companion. They provide the dates of their arrival and the duration of their entire trip. Some would ask for me to make the trip more fun and entertaining, while some would ask me to act invisible for them to have the essence of solo traveling.

I would just help them with their things during their arrival, speaking with the locals, taking photos, keeping an eye to their belongings, figure out the next destination or help them with directions, just literally making the trip more convenient and stress-free for them.

Of course, I don’t make the decisions and act like a tour guide, I just wait for their commands on what they want to happen. It’s like I am an app they installed to help them with navigation and communication.
