Need advice: Accept University of Rostock offer or wait for TU Darmstadt / BTU Cottbus?
Hi everyone,
I’m an international student from India planning to pursue my master’s in Germany for Winter Semester 2026/27.
I have received an admission offer for the M.Sc. Computational Science and Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) at the University of Rostock. My background is in B.Tech Aerospace Engineering.
However, I’m still waiting for admission decisions from:
TU Darmstadt (M.Sc. Aerospace Engineering)
BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg Hybrid Electric Propulsion
Since I already have one admission, I’m unsure what to do next.
Should I start my visa process and accommodation search with the University of Rostock?
Or is it worth waiting a little longer for TU Darmstadt and BTU Cottbus?
If anyone has studied at Rostock, how are the research opportunities, professors, and chances of doing a thesis related to aerospace or CFD?
I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences from students who have been in a similar situation.
Thank you!
MSc in aerospace engineering winter 2026
I applied for the M.Sc. Aerospace Engineering program at TU Darmstadt and took the entrance exam on May 28. Since then, I haven’t received any update regarding my application status.
Has anyone received an admission offer, rejection, or any other update for this program? If you’ve heard back, could you please share when you received your decision?
