Do People Stop Caring About GPA/Ranking After Getting Offer?

I'm in law school currently (1L), and just left another school's graduation (family member graduating) and while listening to him talking with friends, it seemed like once they'd gotten offers they basically no longer cared about GPA or class rank.

Is that the norm? Basically should I just hyperfocus on getting an offer, or are they often contingent on grades?

Obviously bar passage is primarily, but do firms care about final GPA that much?

AI Usage Accusations Will Be A Niche Practice Area

Just helped an undergrad senior develop an argument for her AI usage appeal and it really struck me this is likely to become a full area of practice in the near future.

What percentage of AI usage did any of the AI detectors say was present? Highest was 12%.

What was the alleged proof she used AI? Usage of two required items that were hidden in white text in the rubric.

Her reason for using them? She copied and pasted and had Grammarly create a checklist.

It only took me about 30 minutes to help her develop what I think it's a pretty substantial defense (find out tomorrow after the appeal hearing) but before our strategy session she was freaking out and didn't have any real substantive defense other than her word against the professor.

Seems like this sort of thing is becoming more and more common and when you think about the macro level ramifications of false accusations... there needs to be lawsuits!!

I mean, as schools start getting fewer and fewer grants and keep losing students I would not be surprised if schools start using this as a mechanism to gain additional revenue from students they force to retake classes.

I'm not saying a lot of people aren't bsing their way through school, but it's also getting a little bit over the top with people being falsely accused and having to basically be guilty until proven innocent.

Got humbled in Crim Pro

Welp, my ego has been officially put in check.

Finally got my crimpro final grade, and instead of pulling off an A- and crushing the final, turns out I've dropped to a B- and gotten my worst grade of the year.

Ironically, this was my favorite class. Guess I have to go into full lockdown mode next year.

FFS Dude...To meet...or not to meet at door?

I swear people do this to prevent us from being able to take a picture of delivery...either that or they have the IQ of gerbils.

JUST PICK ONE OR THE OTHER FFS
