I have already received my diploma over a week ago and today I get a letter telling me I have to take summer school

For some context, I graduated about two weeks ago. I get my diploma from school the next day with no issues at all and today I end up getting a letter telling me that I have failed. I don’t know how diplomas work. Can I just not go back to the school since I already have it or are they able to somehow exempt it or invalidate it? I’m not really having an issue taking the summer class, but am I really entitled to since I already have that diploma?

I NEED IMMEDIATE ADVICE

I have just graduated high school last week, I already have my diploma which I received from my school the day after graduation. And only today do I get a note in the mail telling me that I need to take summer school for a class I failed. I already have my diploma so can I just not respond or should I actually take this class because it can screw with me later?(example being them taking my diploma or exempting it)

I can go deeper in replies or messages.
