I have excellent dream recall and very vivid dreams, but I've only had 1 lucid dream so far.

My first lucid dream happened when I couldn't fall asleep and was intensely focused on one emotional thought. When I finally fell asleep, I found myself at school and thought, "How can I be in this useless school? It's summer vacation." That's when I realized I was dreaming and became lucid.

Then I got scared because some people had told me that if your mind is awake while your body is asleep, you'll get sleep paralysis and see ghosts sitting on your chest. So I decided to wake myself up. Since then, I haven't had another lucid dream.

Since I already have good dream recall and very vivid dreams, what should I focus on next to get more lucid dreams? What techniques worked best for you?

Chess.com leagues are ruining chess for me.

I'm currently #1 in my Legend League, and honestly, I hate these leagues. When someone gets close to passing me, I feel like I have to play more. When I'm at the top, I keep worrying about losing my position.

I've wasted so much time chasing league points instead of actually enjoying chess. Reaching Legend League didn't feel rewarding—it just gave me another leaderboard to stress about. Does anyone else feel this way? Is there a way to hide leagues?

How Your Lucid Dream End?

Beginners often wake up from lucid dreams because of excitement. For experienced lucid dreamers, how do your lucid dreams usually end?

Do they fade naturally, turn into normal dreams, or do you wake up intentionally?

Also, for people who use lucid dreaming supplements (such as galantamine), does that affect dream stability or the way lucid dreams end?

One more thing: if you had an entire day free to sleep, could you stay lucid for most of that time across multiple dreams and sleep cycles, or are there limits that prevent even experts from remaining lucid for that long?

Is it normal to stop remembering dreams during a lucid dreaming journey?

At the beginning, I could remember 2–4 dreams almost every day. But now I barely remember any dreams, and sometimes it feels like I'm not dreaming at all. My life has become pretty boring and repetitive lately, so I'm wondering if that's affecting my dream recall.

Has anyone else experienced this? Did your dream recall come back, and if so, what helped?

How do I get hyper-vivid dreams?

Most of my dreams feel blurry and unrealistic. Even when I get lucid, it feels more like a really strong imagination than actual reality.

I've heard people say their dreams feel incredibly real or even "more real than real life," but I've never experienced that.

What helped make your dreams more vivid and realistic? I'd love to hear what worked for you personally.

Why Did My Lucid Dream Feel More Like Imagination Than Reality?

Last night I think I had my first lucid dream.

Before falling asleep, I couldn't sleep for a while and was thinking about buying an island. Eventually, I fell asleep and started dreaming.

From the beginning, I already knew I was dreaming, but I wasn't controlling anything at first. I was just following the dream normally. After some time, I decided to try controlling it.

I was at my school and there was a metal gate/door. I simply thought about opening it, and it opened. That's when I realized I could actually influence the dream.

Then I went to the roof and thought about flying. I got a little scared and decided to wake myself up, so I don't think the flying attempt itself woke me up.

The strange part is that the dream wasn't very vivid. It was kind of blurry and didn't feel like I was actually there. Instead, it felt like my imagination had become 100x stronger than normal, and I was creating things in real time with my mind.

Is this normal for a first lucid dream? Why did it feel more like supercharged imagination than a realistic dream? And how can I make future lucid dreams more vivid, realistic, and stable?

Can You Build a Lucid Dream World That Continues for Years?

I've been thinking about something interesting.

Is it possible to train yourself to have lucid dreams and create a world where you're the main character, with recurring locations and characters that remember past events and grow alongside you?

Can the story continue night after night, picking up where it left off, eventually becoming a years-long adventure? Has anyone successfully built a long-term dream world with consistent characters, memories, and story progression?

I'd love to hear your experiences and tips.
