Question

Today I checked.my.portal and it shows an amount I will be getting monthly and says I will get paid June 17th and then every 3rd wednesday of the month.

It also shows my medicare number and that they will be taking 202 a month for medicare.

It also shows my onset date of April 1, 2023. It also shows under past social security benefits that from December 2025 to march of 2026 an amount for each month, however it doesnt say anything about back.pay from April 1.2023.

I hope that doesnt mean that they aren't paying me back.pay from the onset date minus 5.months?

This is my.benefits letter in my.portal I haven't received an award letter yet.

Should I be worried ?

Some movement

I am almost 61 years old. I have worked my.entire.life and I am also a veteran.

So on March 18th they denied my ssdi claim due to supposedly.not providing information they had asked for. We proved that day that we had provided the information 3 times and I had an interview on the phone to confirm all of the information.

They pulled back the denial on the 18th. On April 17th I was approved for ssdi but it had to go through quality review which it did quickly and on April 21st I was approved fully for ssdi.

However my ssa.gov account was still saying I was denied on march 18th and there was no movement on my case at all.

I called the person in Oklahoma that had taken care of the problem that caused the denial and she has been a god send . After weeks of her calling Georgia and talking to the overwhelmed worker there, she finally got something changed and my case appeared in my ssa.gov.account In stage 3 for a day and then stage 4 on May 14th. It says I will be receiving a letter within 2 to 3 weeks.

However it also shows the denial from. March in a separate drop down.

They have messed.up my case from the start, however I believe this letter should be my award letter? Please let me know how long it took others to get their award letter or if you think this is something else.

Thank you

I was approved for SSDI on Aptil.17th . I am pretty sure all.of.my.spine issues are from my.time as an 11HE9 back in. 1983 to 1986 because I have never injured myself.

I was thinking about filing for VA disability but dont know if I should.

Anyone have any suggeations?

I got a.call from my attorney today and was told that I was approved for my disability with an onset date of 04/01/23.

In my ssa.gov account it still shows I was denied in March but they never fixed it after that so idk when I will be able to see it for myself.

But I am so thrilled because I was almost to the end of my.rope. thank you for everyone here sharing thwir stories and keeping my hopes alive.
