Help with cavity tutorial in OpenFoam

I tried to do the cavity tutorial by following the guide on openfoam.com, documentation/tutorial-guide/2-incompressible-flow. I did blockMesh, then icoFoam for solving but when i try to use the paraFoam command i get an error(in the picture), there is no Mesh parts only Mesh regions and the file is .foam instead of .OpenFOAM. I also added the picture of what it looks like in paraview. What am i doing wrong
openfoam2412, ParaView6.0.1, Ubuntu26.04

CFD help with OpenFoam

Does anyone have any insight into how would a complete beginner get into OpenFoam. I tried to download openfoam2412 then i found online that the tutorials are in openfoam12(different open foam since the org and .com are split now) does anyone have any good youtube tutorials or resources for a complete beginner in both openfoam and linux?

Thinning or a weird part under harsh lighting?

Choosing a specialty for my last year of bachelor studies

In our final year of Bsc we get to choose between different specializations and right now im deciding between choosing HVAC or simulations. Usually i would have gone with simulations but its mostly focused on FEA and not CFD. Does anyone have any experience or advice regarding whats better to get into, HVAC( with a focus in CFD) or numerical simulations?
