Renault Clio 1.2 TCe 115 reliability expectations

I am searching for a new city car, and I’m really fond of the new Clio design. I know some people don’t like it, but I do! I was considering buying the version with the manual gearbox (I like driving manual) and the 1200cc TCe 115 hp petrol engine (non-hybrid).

I understand this is a brand-new 3-cylinder engine and that there are no long-term reviews yet. However, I was wondering if someone more experienced and technical than me could give me a more realistic overview of what to expect. For example, if this engine is an evolution of or based on an older engine that was reliable, that might help with my decision.

I know that some older Renault engines had major issues, and in general (at least in my country), Renault is considered one of the less reliable brands. Because of this, common sense would say to avoid this car. However, I like the new design so much that I’m partly willing to take the risk.
