Alums that no longer work in engineering, how well known is RPI outside of engineering?
Long story short recent RPI graduate (2024 mechanical engineering) working in engineering but not liking it that much. Thinking of switching to the business side, but am realizing in nyc where it’s dominated by Ivy League grads it is extremely competitive to find jobs. My RPI GPA was not good (3.05) so I’m not sure my chances at masters but was wondering if any alums have any advice about networking outside of engineering.
