don't mind the landscaping i'm experimenting

paralives keeps deleting my saved images so i wanted to turn my custom items into mods so i could have them permanently but none of the images used are mine, they are taken from pinterest. is it unethical or even illegal to use some of these images on my custom items and upload them to the workshop, even if it's free? and if i do decide to make mods what programs should i used? i've never created a mod in my life

tell me why i can't build the balcony on the yellow house or why the roofs don't attach properly to any of the houses or why everytime i try to place a staircase it disappears? its a fucking square house for god sake it shouldn't be so fucking difficult. i see everyone else doing all types of elaborate builds and i wanna learn to do it too but i genuinely feel like my game is cursed.
