You can really mass farm now with seasonal jobs. I unassign everyone besides granery and storehouse. Everyone else gets into the fields.

Foresters only in spring and summer.

Rest of the year I have manpower to spare so throw it around.

A 50 family village may have 40 families if not more farming. Even a small village can support huge fields now.

This is a double plot with a backyard extension. Shoved into the middle of town where theirs technically room. I love cramming these plots in as it helps make the town look filler and less square.
