What UA International Business Class used to look like!
Someone recently mentioned the upper deck on the UA 747-400's, and it bought back memories of the days before lie-flat seats. Before Polaris there was BusinessFirst - the same layout that still exists on the domestic 777-200 lie-flats. But before that, it was simply Business Class - with seats like this one! Best I can work out, this is row 17, the last row upstairs, although all of the seats were pretty much the same except row 15 which had 'infinite' legroom due to the emergency exit being in front of it.
Recline and legroom both better than Premium Plus has today, but not by that much. TV screen in the armrest on all seats, so it couldn't be used during takeoff/landing.
