Studio Apartment Hacks?

I’ll be moving into a studio apartment for the first time soon, and I know I’m going to be more conscious of space than I’m used to—so I’m trying not to rush into buying too much stuff right away.

Any advice/tips on good things to buy right off the bat? I’m of course getting some key things (bed, frame, sofa, etc.), but would appreciate any tips on things that might help with organization, making the most of the space, or that even just made your studio more homey in general!

(P.S. Especially interested in any hacks for kitchen organization! It’ll be my first time having a galley kitchen)

Apologies for the amateur-ish floorplan diagram I tried to replicate (website floorplan is not very detailed). Will be moving into this new studio soon, and hoping for this to be my long-term place for a while, so want to make it homey. I’ve had to move around a lot up until now, so I’ve never really had a chance to carefully plan out this sort of thing before.

Mostly looking for advice on the living room area, but welcome any advice on any of the areas! Definitely will be getting a couch. Also want some sort of dining table (maybe an elevated table or a breakfast nook?) and thinking about doing a combined TV stand/desk. Expecting I will have guests decently(?) often.

Honestly looking to exercise my free will and get creative, if possible, so I welcome any ideas, whether about layout, types of furniture options, etc.

Edit: Also, in case relevant, the floors are polished concrete!
