Before I start, this is gonna be a heavy rant and I’m pretty mad rn but I’m just gonna dive into it

I genuinely do not understand how someone like v (redacted for reasons) has had global fans acting like they had just witnessed someone they loved died or acting like entitled,crazy obsessed ex girlfriends / partners because oh no how dare infold take away their shiny new toy, not to mention a shiny toy that was never even fucking released.
Like what in the actual hell is it about a typically conventionally attractive pixelated wolf man that had these “players” acting like psychos and being straight up bigoted towards cn fans because SOME of them were acting out of line?

Everyday I see these fans bashing the other love interests, using ai to make content of him, harassing other players because they don’t care for him, and forcing said other players to give a shit about this and join their so called boycott/review bombing/unfollow spree in the name of “justice” (when really that whole performative bullshit is just them crying over not being able to goon over a wolf man)

And the fact that some large cc’s in the community make videos capitalizing off this whole drama and making their opinions on something they saw on rednote or xhs as “facts” without any reliable proof or evidence just because it’s the talk of the town right now. And I can’t tell you how fucking irresponsible it is to spread misinformation or lies as a decently sized creator to do this.

Plus they know those fans will automatically take their words for it because “duh lads youtuber said this so i believe it and therefore they’re right!”
I just don’t get it and I don’t think I ever will.
Cuz i swear to yall that wolf man must’ve had a contagious virus that spread across globally so now almost everyone in that side of the fandom can’t stop talking about him or mentioning his name in lads posts that have nothing to do with him.

At first i was sympathetic to their “movement” but after seeing how they’re acting towards other players / antagonizing them for continuing to play the game and bashing the other guys, being racist, homophobic, and even transphobic to other ppl and blatantly lying for their own benefit they lost any respect and credibility.

Sorry if this sounds mean but i genuinely hope that godforsaken man stays gone and I hope this eventually turns into a lesson for other fandoms not behave the way they are right now. Because there’s a reason why this safe place exists BECAUSE of them doing all that I mentioned.
And it makes me embarrassed as a global player because here they are screaming over wolf man not being in the game and I’m over like “I promise I’m not like them I swear 🙏🏽” and yall kept saying you quit the game after the update so why aren’t you?

Hey y’all I’m new here 👋🏽 Im gonna vent a little for my first post here so apologies in advance, Seeing how fast everyone switched from ”oh infold is receiving harassment from toxic fans because of what’s happening that’s not right“ to “oh infold can crash and burn for all I care, as well as their shit game I wasted so much money etc” is just really telling of how hostile some fans of this game are the minute they don’t get what they want. obviously yeah they can be angry and disappointed about the decision of valko but ever since that all happened the fandom has been nothing but parasocial, aggressive, and downright hypocritical about this whole situation and it makes me wonder did they actually care about this decision or were they using this as an excuse to mask their hatred and problems with lads with pretending to care about a character that hadn’t been released yet.

One thing I would like to add is that no one knew anything about valko other than just teasers and trailers and it makes me wonder IF they would even like him if he was released, I’d feel like they’d just complain still and continue to be annoying about whatever issues they have with the game itself. and the more I think about the more Im starting to think how performative and just downright unhinged all of this boycotting and hate posting is because again no one knew anything about Valko and people legitimately having meltdowns and crying over him like a loved one that just passed away is just…weird to say the least. It lowkey makes kpop stans look tame compared to what’s happening with the fandom rn. They legit wrote a fantasy about an unreleased character in their head and being aggressive with other people who aren’t as invested in this bullshit like they are. again not saying their disappointment isn’t valid because infold definitely has some explaining to do not just with this cancellation but the way the fandom is deciding to go about it is just unhealthy and just very concerning.

idk man it’s wild, and many people are now saying they’re leaving due to the rerun of wander in wonder, and oh well don’t hit your head on the way out👋🏽 maybe when the fandom is smaller due to this i can fully enjoy the game publicly but as of now, im enjoying it in peace and continuing to love my fishie. thanks for coming to my TED talk 💜
