WB unit #10 in the bag after a trying day
Edit: WB unit #7. I've had 3 visits where I've not made a successful donation but still received a credit for attempting.
To say today has been tough has been an understatement. I woke up this morning to find that my cat had passed away in his sleep overnight, so most of my morning was spent sorting the admin side of that out while grieving. The donation itself was a lot more of a battle than usual as well, I struggled with flow as the donation went on and my arm felt a bit more pressurised than normal.
I still made the weight. In spite of everything that's happened today, typing this post from a house that feels that little bit emptier and colder this evening, I still feel a bit better knowing that in the coming weeks I may be able to help somebody in need.
10 units donated is a milestone in the NHS's blood service, now onwards to 25.
