Full Proof Friday
Who said studying for the bar exam needs to be boring? Wrapping up for the day with Wills lectures, poured some Weller Full Proof and thought it made for a good picture with some of my student every day carry.
Saturday bar prep made better with bourbon and a fine writing instrument 🤌🏼

It’s a surreal feeling to have completed my Juris Doctor and to be one BIG step away from being a barred attorney. Even more so when I reflect on the trials and tribulations I’ve had to overcome to finally achieve my childhood dream. At 14 my home life started deteriorating rapidly and began to negatively impact my mom, my little brother, and me. At 18 I became homeless due to those circumstances and my own acts of defiant protest in response to them. Shortly after my parents divorced. Then, at 21 my father lost his battle with alcohol addiction. At 24 I decided I could not continue wasting my life’s potential and enrolled in junior college to start and finish an entire undergraduate degree and a J.D.. Every one of those instances were shaping me into the better man I am today. Would it have been easier if things went down differently? Probably. However, the perspective I gained throughout my experiences has proven to be invaluable. All that’s left is bar prep and the bar exam, but after all that I’m not worried. I’ve done harder things. I am happy where I’m at now, finished with my degrees, and truly grateful for the future that lies ahead. Thank you for reading! It is never too late to pick up an old dream and make it happen. 🍾🥂
