Pocket Carry Advice
Hey all!
Looking for some advice on how to carry the items in the pic above.
My usual EDC is more work focused (pants with more pockets, Leatherman on belt) but my pockets are often pretty bare otherwise, often just my phone, wallet and keys.
I’m currently travelling and using a sling most days, so carrying is effortless.
But when I return home I’d much prefer to return to pockets only.
I have some preferences that I’d like to stick to if possible:
- Phone in front right pocket, possibly notebook but nothing else
- Wallet in front left
- Nothing in rear pockets
That leaves three items, seems easy right? Haha
I’ve overthought in too many ways.
While I know they’re to be used, I’d like to keep them somewhat protected in the pocket if possible.
I’ve considered slips and pocket organisers, but I’m concerned about added bulk.
And I’d prefer not to use suspension clips out of fear of losing something.
Thanks in advance for any help!
I’d love to hear some external advice (that will hopefully talk some sense into me haha)

Nite Ize key holder, W-217h Casio digital watch, OKnife Otackle 2 titanium pry, truck and house key, Spyderco PM2, iPhone 16pro max with pop socket wallet, Olight Arkfeld pro, Galvanox flat bit drive set, leatherman wave+, leatherman sheath, Galvanox bit extension, Olight O’pen mini 2, All weather notebook. I have tried different combinations of things that are usable and this is what works for me, I would like to find something better for all the keys because they are so noisy walking around lol, I’m also thinking about adding the knipex cobra xs water pump pliers for better gripping options, also maybe a pouch to keep everything in 🤷♂️ any key holder and pouch suggestions ? Thanks

My work EDC
Key chain: Gerber Shard, USB drive and loop earbuds. Neck Lanyard: 711 pen driver, RovyVon A8, work keys and fob. Wallet is Alpaka zip pouch, Fisher space pen, CIVIVI neck knife, cards a few extra double end 1/4” bits. Casio GShock DW-5600BBN. Nalgene 500ml narrow mouth.
I’ve got a titanium pill holder coming for my lanyard, that I’m going to keep some hex bits in. And I also intend on getting Kinpex mini cobra to go in the Alpaca zip pouch.
I use to carry a gerber lock blade in the zip pouch, but I prefer the neck knife much more as it’s a thinner.
The Loop ear plugs I use a lot more than I thought I would. I bought them because I was starting to go to some live music gigs, but I’ve been using them at work as emergency plugs if I’ve forgotten my ear muffs.
The space pen and the RovyVon light are my favourite items and are used multiple times a day.

No gun day. Just hanging at the library with my wife.
She's taking the bar exam at the end of July, so she's basically living at the library these days. I had the day off, so she recruited me to keep her company, which also meant no gun or knife carrying today. And I was banned from sitting next to her scrolling TikTok for hours and was made read her fav book instead. 😂
So today's carry is down to just three things: Xteinkereader x3 (with esr magsafe wallet), Edifier headphones,iPhone 17promax.
Nanobag = Worth it.
This is the Nanobag Daypack
For guys who EDC a backpack and keep an extra bag inside of it- The Nanobag is a great choice. It really does fit into the tiny bag in my hand and apparently it can hold up to 66 lbs. I haven't tested it to maximum capacity but it has already carried 2x 2 liters of soda and a large jar of spaghetti sauce, at one time, so make of that what you will.
