I bought the ratchet as a replacement for my Leatherman ratchet that broke, and it’s pretty good so far. The Leatherman and knives I carry change often depending on whether I’m at home or not (because of German laws). When I’m out, I usually carry a modified Leatherman 2H Wave+. The knives I usually carry are the Kizer Drop Bear, CRKT Minimalist, and CRKT Hang Ti.

Picture number 2 plugs in the hole on Picture number 3 and thats where i want to know the voltage but there only one cable not two so i guess there is just a positive but doesnt there need to be a second cable (the negative)

I am trying to modify soviet night vision goggles (PNR 1)

But i dont have much experience with electronics.

Basicly i want to use my own battery and switch for the NVGs but I dont know how much voltage i need.

My Plan is to connect a battery and switch to number 6 so in the best case everything is contained on the helmet

The battery ist 6 Volt

I own a Multimeter and a PSU

The numbered parts

1 is the connector for the battery

2 is the connector for the IR iluminator

3 is the connector for the night vision device itself

4 is the connector that plugs i number 3

5 plugs i number 6

6 is the connector that goes to the Night vision device

I was scroling on the leatherman Website and saw they had 1 captains crunch available and immediately bought it but the Confirmation email looks like a regular one like i just bought anything on their Website is it because i am "late"

I bought soviet gen 0 nvgs and i 3d printed a mount for my helmet. It wobbles a bit because of the cable but otherwise it works pretty good. I tested it at night and the IR iluminator works ok. I also will be printing a mount for the IR iluminator and if possible make a smaller battery so it fits on the helmet but I am not sure how i would do it since i dont want to cut any cables
