Found on our property
Found in eastern MT, no bodies of water or ponds for miles. I've actually never seen a turtle in this area at all. Is this a painted turtle perhaps?

Color question
For those of you that have roans perhaps you could enlighten me. My young roan has a very white looking body in the winter but sheds out extremely dark in the summer, really NOT looking roan at all, unless you look very close. Will this always be the case? Is there any possibility my horse will look more roan as it ages during the summer months? Thank you.
