The Beast watches and observes. Still surpsied how big they've gotten in only a few days. Last photo was the day I got them vs just now.

They're still eating good since even the first feeding. Had a calcium dusted nightcrawler every day at minimum and some roaches if there was time in the 15 minutes still. Today was the first time they more or less refused food and more so attacked the tongs instead of eating. Ive been reassured by a friend they're totally fine but they've gotten so big so quick I was worried about bloat or impaction but they feel appropriately soft/squishy, no lethargy or weird movement, burrowing nicely, and they're absolutely a sassy piss balloon most of the time I've picked them up for feedings.

Still waiting for them to poop with how much they've eaten and again I know it's normal for them to take time with that and I'm not trying to fuss too much. Temps and moisture are both consistently good. I guess I was more prepared for complications but they're doing great all around which ironically is what's causing the slight anxiety.

After their meal yesterday I swear they doubled in size then did their first full borrow. Last pic was them out exploring at night and increasing in size even more.

Less than a full week and I'm amazed how well the little guy/gal is eating. Its taken a bit of coaxing with dubias but they're scarfing down nightcrawlers so much faster than I expected. Absolute menace. First day was 3/4ths of one. Then the second was a full one and yesterday they ate two. No name picked out yet or rather I have some in mind but waiting to see what they turn out to be before settling on one.

Post first feeding! Went from 30 to 34-35ish grams. 3/4ths of a nightcrawler and a dubia too. Was worried it was gonna be so much harder 😭 Then after a misting right back to burrowing 💚

First time ever feeding any animal like this. Took a while and some trials and error but in the future I know it'll go way easier. They gave me a pretty good bark when I picked them up and deflated their piss onto my glove pretty good too lmao. But just thank God my biggest worry is over. I was concerned about hunger strikes and the like due to stress or temperament but it didn't take too much coaxing to get them to take food from the tongs. I feel pretty comfortable leaving them be except for some more misting and trying again tomorrow c: Also they've been entirely chill about being misted like they hardly even blink. I've seen some frogs absolutely hate it but for their sass otherwise that's something they're totally okay with.

Mystery morph from Josh's arrived earlier!

Burrowed right in soon as they got into the tank and were eager to get outta their transport cup. Gonna leave them alone for a day (except misting, last pic was right after I did it) and try feeding tomorrow sometime. I'm glad I did so much prep and trial and error getting the tank right and setup for them before they arrived. I'm also glad they're bigger than I expected. I was thinking quarter sized but they're deffo closer to half dollar so I'm a lot less worried about potential fragility. No name yet, will likely be holding off until I know if they're a boy or girl or until something strikes me as fitting. Funny enough my roomate had a hell of a time seeing them burrowed under the pothos so guess their camo works.

P.S.- That poor pothos plant 😭 . Past few weeks I'd been fussing with the terrarium constantly and it's gotten replanted like half a dozen times and it's still growing like a champ.
