Scratch Creek genuinely unplayable without a friend

Like genuinely, you can't even find a match anymore. I really hope they add an NPC option or make the future game singleplayer.

More immersion or multiplayer?

As we saw in Scratch Creek, multiplayer implementation is difficult. Therefore, they had to reduce the immersion from the previous episode, Woodbury Getaway.

Honestly, I much prefer single player + tons of immersion, because in Woodbury Getaway, you were able to, for example, interact with random cabinets in the office, make different types of coffee, purchase soda at numerous vending machines, use the ATM outside Moe's Pizza, catch multiple types of fish, have a choice of board games, etc. However, in Scratch Creek, everything was very linear and it felt like there wasn't much to interact with other than the game itself. I enjoyed Scratch Creek, but its much easier to replay Woodbury Getaway due to all the tiny details you may have missed. I am aware that there are still some in Scratch Creek, but these feel less intriguing.

What do you guys think? More immersion and single player or less and multiplayer?

Do you think Scratch Creek will ever be playable solo?

I really want to go back and see all the things I missed but nobody is ever on first off and I won't have enough time. I really hope Rayll can implement NPCs for the other character.

Does this actually mean anything?

Rayll says 'I'm too tired to make another multiplayer game': is this just meant to be funny or like is it shifting back to singleplayer? Nobody has been talking about this

Did anyone else notice this in Ironbark Lookout?

I walked backwards from before the bridge (when you are walking to the tower for the first time) and saw this.

Scratch Creek Ratings

So I just played it with my friend, and these are my honest ratings:

Atmosphere: 5/5

Really enjoyed the atmosphere of the game, the idea of being isolated in a sundown town as a black man (I was playing as Marcus) is terrifying and the whole vibe of the place was off from the start. The map was also incredible and there are many things that we missed.

Graphics: 5/5

Great graphics for the game, normal F2F with better lighting and models.

Story: 2.5/5

Enjoyed playing, liked the premise but the graveyard was not utilised enough and the whole idea of being tied to Ironbark Lookout was kind of a let-down, wish they hadn't taken that route as it takes out of the credibility of the story (which I do think can be real, but Rayll has tied it into Ironbark for some reason).

Scariness: 4.5/5

Playing as Marcus was terrifying. I was scared out of my mind whilst getting towels and especially at the end! Also when the guy broke into the room, and the fact that there are like 14 antagonists!

Chase scenes: 3/5

Fun to play with my friend, took a few times which took out of the fear factor a little bit, but in the end it was great to play and victory was very rewarding.

Characters and voice acting: 5/5

Great character design, all very well thought out and the voice acting was on point (especially Marcus and Tessa!)

Multiplayer: 5/5

Implemented really well, I was one of those people who hated the idea of multiplayer F2F but it was so cool that you could be separated which added to the fear factor and not being able to talk to your partner was super terrifying!

Overall rating: 5/5

Really enjoyed, would 100% play again
