Celebrating 40 years of EAT'EM and SMILE today.

Love this album. The whole thing just flows so well

What's strange is that I did not get it until two or three years later. I bought a used copy in an indie record store. I did not get to see this tour but I did see him on Skyscraper.

Favorite songs ?

Ladies Night in Buffalo

Big Trouble

Bump n Grind

Yankee Rose

Shy Boy

Anybody who was or knows of someone receiving payout on a term life insurance policy?

There's no shortage of instances where I read posts about someone not getting paid on a medical claim they thought was covered by their medical insurance company but how about life insurance?

Term Life or Whole Life where the person died and declared beneficiaries. Does anyone know how challenging the insurer made it for the beneficiary to be paid? Did anyone go through the process and receive their payout?

Iz it a scam job?

I applied for some customer services job in JobStreet.

Today (On Sunday) I get a what's app message giving me another number to add and make contact with

I go ahead.

Within seconds I get response with this job description but no name of company and this person. ( Female face but could be AI generated?) Tells me to reach out to Ava on Telegram.

I reply that I don't have telegram and am not comfortable downloading another app (I have three communication apps already ...enough !!)

She says that's how they work and Ava needs to do an interview with me on Telegram

Has anyone encountered this behavior?

Does it seems suspicious or am I overthinking it

Who was the worst "hair metal" band?

We always talk about the best and who was underated.

Now

We talk about who did NOT deserve a major record deal and an international stage?

My choice is Steelheart for the absolute worst.

Bland cookie cutter generic sappy shit music.

Thoughts on the 1988 MONSTERS OF ROCK tour

I didn't get to see it. This tour skipped my city.

I liked the lineup. It should've sold well but I read that it was mostly a money loser, something I have a hard time understanding. All those platinum selling bands with Mtv & radio exposure and still playing half empty stadiums.

Why?

Was metal popularity more hype than real?

Badlands _ Dag the Giblets

Watching this home video that they released in 1991.

I don't think many copies were sold and I'm surprised a band at their level released a home video .

One thing that stands out is how much Greg keeps making reference to poser glam bands and trying to tell everyone they're not like that and Jake keeps on with the we're not trying to be radio friendly.

Overall I find their personalities to be rather dull had makes this home video hard to watch.

What else do you get? Their three Mtv videos and some short snippets of live performances.

Would it have been too much trouble to include one complete live song?

For home videos this is one of the worst

Musically Badlands was cool.

Your favorite Dokken song per album?

We did Motley and Ratt already.

Breaking The Chains

When Heaven Comes Down

The Hunter

Kiss of Death

The Maze

Here I Stand

Erase the Slate

After this I fell off the Dokken train.

I don't know all those albums Don has been making.

Paul Stanley solo "Live To Win"

What's your verdict?

Do you listen to this? Do you remember it?

He released this in 2006 I think it was.

The title track made its way into an episode of "South Park" but beyond that I don't think I heard a single song on the radio.

I think it's a grand album worthy of pulling out and revisiting. I like it more than the last two KISS albums.

Thoughts on the 4th Cinderella album ?

I was disappointed. Still am. Not the best way to go out. I understand the making of the album was turmoil. Tom's vocal chord surgery, Fred quit the band and grunge was the new "in" thing.

Some of the songs were cool. Others forgettable

6/10

For me it's the second Dangerous Toys album. Boring songs.

The first one was so fun filled with hooks and riffs.

The second is a snoozefest.

Other contenders for this topic:

Bulletboys "Freakshow"

Hurricane "Slave to the Thrill"

Stryper "In God We Trust"

Motley Crue "Theater of Pain"

Twisted Sister "Come Out and Play"

WASP "Inside The Electric Circus"

40th anniversary of "The Final Frontier"

I bought this on cassette when it was new.

My main motivation for checking out Keel was the fact that Gene Simmons produced them.

A couple really great bangers on this album:

No Pain No Gain

Arm and a Leg

And I loved the two singles (Because The Night, Tears of Fire)

The filler slop songs were

Just Another Girl

Here Today Gone Tomorrow

Rock n Roll Animal.
