[ESPN] In recent days, both sides have been negotiating a resolution to the investigation, the people have said. Those talks led by attorney David N, Kelly of law firm O’Melveny & Myers for Ballmer and the Clippers, and NBA general counsel Rick Buchanan at times have been “spirited” one source said.

Seems like this is why the story got leaked today, perhaps Ballmer wasn’t liking what the resolution talks would have been and is forcing the leagues hand by going public a bit here.

This story does not put the league in the best light hence Ballmer slanted.

Lost in the Lakers news today is one of the larger potential owners of a prospective Vegas team is out.

One has to wonder if it’s relocation or bust for Vegas at this point.

Especially if they don’t have any support for expansion. Seems possible at this point.

Nathan Lukes just had a 15 pitch at bat vs Zack Wheeler and singled to right field

Great back and forth between the pitcher and the hitter.

Jays offense went 1/19 with RISP today vs the Cubs.

The 30th ranked offence in the bigs continued to be once again bad.

It’s insane how poorly they’ve played on offense. Jays have 1 win by 4+ runs since July 8th.

Thoughts on the Tempo Time podcast on Hello and Welcome?

It’s the only wide ranging podcast on the team I’ve found on the local media side of things from a notable outlet. (Raptors Republic does do video recaps fwiw).

[Windhorst] The two main reasons why LeBron went to Philly was chance to compete for a title (which lessened Golden State/Miami quite a bit) and he can trust Maxey (as a Klutch client).

>Windhorst said that the Maxey point was if there was adjustments to be made in players gamestyles etc for next season. And that the convos he had with Sixers players weren’t about what are the best restaurants in Philly, it was strategy talks.

>He also reported that the Sixers didn’t think they were getting him last week in Vegas.

If the Kawhi trade goes through, the Raptors and Sixers will have two of the most loaded wing duos in the league

Jaylen/LeBron vs Kawhi/Scottie.

Also narrative wise, the Raptors path being blocked by LeBron is something. Not to mention Scottie ended LeBron’s 10 point streak last year.

Narrative wise, adding in the Nick Nurse factor it’ll be one of the more intriguing rivalries coming up next season if the trade gets done.

[Helin] League sources NBC Sports has spoken with still think all signs point to Cleveland as the destination… Miami is also reportedly interested in DeMar Derozan as a fallback if LeBron chooses to go elsewhere, and other teams on his list as thinking the same thing…

Article also says per Jackson and Chiang, Russ is a potential fit but only if they strike out on LeBron in free agency.

The Blue Jays just tied a franchise record for the fewest runs scored in a series (2).

They got shutout in B2B games, went for their 2nd fewest combined hits in a 3 game series (10). Not to mention they’re on a 24 inning scoreless streak at this point.

Jays/Giants series coming up tomorrow is going to be a farce between two subpar teams.
