Question to Mammotion: Can LUBA 3’s 360° LiDAR be used as a safety sensor for reversing while mowing?

I’m currently considering whether to keep the LUBA 3, and the recent Multi-point Turn changes are making me concerned about a possible hardware limitation.

My understanding is that one of the challenges with reversing while the cutting discs are running may be the requirement for reliable obstacle detection in the direction of travel. LUBA 3 does not have a conventional rear bumper or rear-facing camera, but it does have a 360° LiDAR system.

Could Mammotion clarify:

Can the LUBA 3’s 360° LiDAR fulfil the obstruction-sensing/safety requirements for rearward travel while the cutting discs remain running, including the requirements being introduced in EN 50636-2-107 Amendment 4?

If not, what is the limiting factor?

Is there insufficient LiDAR coverage in the near-field directly behind the mower?

Is the LiDAR technically capable of detecting the required obstacles, but not certified/validated as a functional safety sensor?

Is this currently only a software/algorithm limitation?

Or is additional rear-facing safety hardware fundamentally required?

And most importantly:

Is Mammotion working toward using the LUBA 3’s LiDAR for compliant rear obstacle detection so that future Multi-point Turns can reverse without repeatedly stopping and restarting the cutting discs?
