How many unfinished games do you have in your library right now?

I was looking at my library today and realized it’s basically a graveyard of games I bought on sale and never actually finished.

I have this habit where I’ll get completely obsessed with a game for a week, pour a bunch of hours into it, and then just drop it for something else. I used to feel so guilty about it, but now I just think that if I had fun for that week, it was worth it.

It's not even about the money, I don't mind buying an indie game that I might never play, because it still feels like a way to give back to the developers. But if I look back at the past three years, I think I've actually finished maybe three games total lol

What does your finished vs. unfinished situation look like? Do you actually finish most of your games?

Has a cozy game ever sent you down a rabbit hole?

A few months ago, I posted here looking for feedback on the cozy games database I was building. I received tons of excellent feedback and I've been pouring all my free time into this project. The database grew a lot (almost 2000 games!), we added most of what was requested, dark mode, advanced filtering, Steam Deck compatibility, wishlists, store links, a release calendar. There is so much more stuff coming (if I open yet another git branch my engineer boyfriend might actually implode).

I also added a blog section, and I've been having fun writing all sorts of articles. Cozy games are a real reflection of culture and society in so many ways, and I don't see many people talk about them in these terms. Until I started writing, I never paid much attention to it myself. Articles about cozy games are either lists or reviews.

When I go write about a game, I end up falling down a rabbit hole and then I have to write about it. Like I wanted to talk about Librarian and ended up writing why it's the best game for ADHD brain, and when I was looking up cooking games, I noticed they are mostly based in asian cuisine, so of course I had to write about that. My only consistent readers are Google bots, which is fine. I'm honestly just having fun giving my rabbit holes a purpose.

But I’m curious, has a cozy game (or any game, really) ever sent you down a rabbit hole?
