All things considered this was my first SMT game in its entirety (Nocturne HD shortly thereafter), it was an absolutely fun time. Definitely made it too hard on myself going for Shiva and the Demi-Fiend on my first run but clearing them was satisfying as hell. Onwards to Canon of Vengeance and all the other endings!

Also, the atmosphere of the final Lucifer fight is downright amazing.
