I’m a 2001 kid who was able to grow up on the likes of the GameCube, PS2, Wii, and going forward from there. Having the memories at a young age of how I played games, and owning what I grew up with for all these years put in stone the mindset I have of where I like to have a physical product that I have control over. That said, I do have digital games like on Steam, but this is the minority of my game library that I’ve put my money into. I knew the writing was on the wall that the industry insists on us going into this all digital future to control what we buy even further. Though is this something my generation cares as much as me regarding physical media in general of games, movies, music, or am I in the minority? I feel like late Gen Z kids would relate less than me and others around my age however.

This is what I got after sending a question, and it repeated after asking again when I got a discounted offer:

“(SELLER) is out of office until 09/01/2026 and may not be able to respond your message.

Automatic reply from (SELLER):
Currently going through a major life event. Apologies. But I cannot ship out any items at this time, so have paused sales.”

Obviously, got no responses yet from any of the questions I asked. How common is it for an Ebay seller to still have their items up, and have an auto message saying they’re away despite not declaring they’re away? Shouldn’t they have everything delisted because of this? Is this even something I should report to Ebay? Sucks cause they have this one extremely rare item I want.
