I am a noob to this, bought a kit off ali express and it came with a spool. How do I solder this wire and the cigarette lighter head back up, it burnt off.

I tried earlier but the solder wasnt sticking to the copper wires. Should i let it melt on the tip of the iron and then transfer it over?
