I’m looking for some honest advice from people who camp regularly in the UK.
For family camping, weekend trips, festivals, or campsite stays, what do you think matters most when choosing folding camping chairs and a camping table?
I keep seeing different options online — lightweight folding chairs, padded chairs, compact tables, aluminium tables, roll-top tables, and full camping table and chairs sets — but it’s hard to know what actually works well on UK campsites.
Main things I’m trying to compare:
- Comfort for sitting longer in the evening
- Chair height and back support
- Table stability on uneven grass
- How easy everything is to fold and pack
- Whether a separate table and chairs are better than a full set
- What size works best for 2–4 people
- What is actually good value without overpaying
For UK camping, would you rather buy:
- A full folding camping table and chairs set
- Separate better-quality camping chairs plus a compact table
- Lightweight chairs and a small table for easy storage
- A more solid setup even if it takes more boot space
Also, are there any brands, features, or mistakes you would avoid?
I’m mainly interested in practical advice from people who have used this type of setup in real camping conditions — damp grass, uneven ground, windy evenings, family meals, festival use, etc.
