I understand that a lot of people call the characters that come from traditional fighting games "shotos", even though some of them are not. I'm not referring to that.

I haven't played Smash for at least a year, so I feel like I'm relearning the game, and since the games that I've recently been playing are trad fighters, I thought I could try and find my favorite character archetype here and stick to it.

Of course, plat fighters don't have the same character archetypes or resources as trad fighters, I know. But I consider a "shoto" as your all rounder, not in terms of stats, but in tool kit. For example, a shoto in a trad fighter have to have a proyectile, a multi-hit gap closer and a dragon punch. I came to understand the use of these tools so deeply, that if I try a character in a fighting game, and they lack one of those things, I feel absolutely lost. Skill issue? Definetely. I'm not trying to look for the exact same thing, but I think I can find something similar here.

The image is my take on the characters that could be "shotos", however, I'm open to hear anyone's opinion. ❤️
