I got Essential Repeat in CBSE Class 12 this year and I’m considering taking admission in NIOS.

My current plan is:

• Transfer 2 passed subjects through TOC
• Give remaining subjects through NIOS On-Demand Examination (ODE)

But I’ve heard mixed things online. Some people say NIOS ODE students are eligible for JEE Main/NITs, while others say ODE can create issues during JoSAA counseling or document verification.

I’m confused about a few things:

1. Is NIOS ODE actually valid for JEE Main and NIT/IIIT admissions?
2. Does TOC from CBSE create any problem?
3. If I later appear as a CBSE private candidate in 2027, will that create issues since I already used NIOS TOC?
4. Has anyone here personally taken admission into engineering colleges through NIOS ODE + TOC?

Would really appreciate guidance from someone who has actually gone through this process recently because there’s a lot of conflicting info online.
