I am from punjab and am confused about the centre selection due to cases of bribes, cheating and much more
Can anyone from punjab (student, senior/ex student) help me out
Hi everyone,
I have already passed Class 12 from CBSE, but I applied for NIOS Senior Secondary (Stream 1, Block 1).
Unfortunately, while filling out the admission form, I made a mistake:
I selected Previous Qualification: Class 10 instead of Class 12.
I uploaded my Class 10 certificate
I have already paid the admission fee.
My application status currently shows "Document Verification in Progress 😭 what to do
Hey all,
I was pretty confused about WBJEE and NIOS eligibility. I got confirmation that you can appear for WBJEE because it is an eligible board. But even if you get a good rank, you can't get into top colleges through WBJEE like Jadavpur University or Calcutta University. Because you are an open schooling student, you can't take admission despite having a good rank in WBJEE. And remember, I am talking about everything being good—someone with 5 subjects in NIOS who got an 83 percentage.
I found that some of my friends got a good enough rank to get into JU, but they weren't able see the ju or cu in councelling bcs they are open schooling students.after doing many times visit headquarters they told you can do de-centralized councelling where you can get the leftover seats if left . I am kinda doomed too i thought wbjee would be a great option if jee went bad
So, I just want to warn the people from NIOS that if you want to prepare for WBJEE, then don't choose NIOS. You can get into other colleges, but you won't see JU or CU in counselling, and honestly, it hurts deep after getting good marks
I am attaching a yt video link you can see someone explain it properly
I have a query regarding NIOS TOC.
In CBSE 2025, I passed Physics, Chemistry, English and Computer Science, but failed Mathematics (Compartment, didn’t clear it)
In 2026, I appeared as a CBSE Private Candidate for all five subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Computer Science).
I’ve failed Physics, Chemistry, Maths and i got essential repeat this time.
I have already received my 2026 marksheet and I haven’t collected my old 2025 marksheet which had compartment from my school yet.
After re-evaluation, my Maths marks increased by 6 marks, but I am still failed in Mathematics Chemistry and Physics, so it will take alot of time for the new marksheet after re evaluation to arrive
For NIOS TOC, can I claim TOC of Physics and Chemistry using my 2025 CBSE marksheet, which contains the passed subjects I want to transfer, or am I required to use my 2026 CBSE marksheet because it is my latest result? also how much time will it take for the admission approval etc? ode exams are you sure that they won’t consider recent cbse attempt and will let me use my old marksheet?
I took admission in NIOS at the end of March (Stream 1, Block 2). My Hindi, English, and Yoga public exams are in October 2026, while Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are in April 2027.
I received 5 TMA PDFs in my NIOS dashboard (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Hindi, and English), and I was told to submit them before 31st July.
However, I've seen many YouTube videos saying that the TMA for April 2027 subjects is usually released later and submitted around January.
My question is: Since all five TMA PDFs are already available in my dashboard, should I complete and submit all five TMAs now,
Hello! I am writing ODE in July - 21st English, 23rd Mass Communication and 28th DEO
I have printed out the Practical modules (for DEO and Mass communication) but I do not know when, where and how to begin .
How does one make a practical file?
And how do these practical exams usually go, what types of questions do they ask?
What is the use of the practical file?
Any help would be massively appreciated, thank you!
i need personal guidance pls😭😭
I'm in grade 10 and I'm looking at stream selection, I'm thinking of either PCB or PCM and I think I am leaning PCB. I want to get a degree in chemical engineering, and then a master's in either enviromental engineering or cosmetic chemistry.
I will probably be writing the EAPCET exam, and other ones aswell like VITEE, SRMJEE etc, etc
I'm better at biology than I am at math, I'm better at most things than I am at math.
I was planning to do PCB (State board) + NIOS math.
Is this still valid/accepted? Or should I just do a PCM. I'm worried I'll be sad/miss out on learning biology
Also, I love the "ayo remember to use user flairs" in this sub, it's so awesome
Sorry for using "urgent query" i wasn't sure which user flair was applicable and this was the closest
so i was a private candidate this year from cbse and haven't got the hard copy yet , is it normal or there is some issue ? , i mean 8th july ko mera 1st ode hai idk
Hey everyone so I just passed CBSE 10th in 2026, NIOS Needs the second board result for some reason to admit so im just waiting on that, anyways i plan to get admission as soon as it comes out which is far before the last date of Sep 15 (and even before late fee date for 31st July) i was wondering if im able to stagger exams Early? Eg give 5th Subject + English in April 2027, Physics and Chemistry in Oc 2027 and Maths in April 2028 for JEE? (JEE 2028)
Cbse class 12th 2025 passed, was not able to meet 75% eligibilities criteria
Gave improvement didnt score well
I am no more eligible for improvement
And there is no option of 12th fresh candidate cbse private
I am considering nios
But i jave heard alot about bribing, unfair results, late results and that even online results are available late om digilocker and much more
Through comments there are some good experiences and some bad
I want help of a senior eho had similar situation
Please help me
I am a jee aspirant
Let me know about pros and cons and about wht to be carefull of
I messed up my name while filling NIOS details (no surname / incomplete naming structure), and now I’m stuck figuring out the actual correction process.
Here’s what I found after digging through the system:
NIOS allows corrections under “Basic Details Correction”, but the categories are split and slightly confusing:
Name Change: ₹400
Name Correction: ₹400
Father’s Name Correction: ₹400
Mother’s Name Correction: ₹400
Guardian Name Correction: ₹100–₹200
DOB Correction: ₹400
Problem:
There’s no clear distinction between Name Change vs Name Correction. For people like me who simply didn’t enter surname/middle name properly, it’s unclear which one applies.
What I need clarity on:
Which option applies if the name is incomplete (not legal change)?
Exact documents required (Aadhaar, affidavit, etc.?)
Deadline window for correction before exams/admit card finalization
Whether admission card will update automatically after correction or needs reissue
