Custom shortcut for switching to specific keyboard layouts.

I have 3 keyboard layouts, switching between them and mentally keeping track of the active layout is tiresome, so I'm thinking of giving each one a custom shortcut, e.g.:
super + backspace = layout 1
super + enter = layout 2
cycle using super + space for the rarely-needed layout 3

Maybe I can change the active layout through the terminal, allowing me to bind the command to a key combination.

EDIT: I'm using COSMIC.

Previously, undownloaded PDFs would show a download icon (downward arrow), this allowed me to quickly tell what PDFs I had already downloaded, but now they removed them in favour of what seems to be an "Adobe Acrobat Powered" PDF viewer.

How can I tell at a glance which files I downloaded and which files I am yet to download?
