just got to level 13 shapeshifter
context: i'm going through my first playthrough of the enhanced edition games.
a lot of the first game was really fun as shapeshifter! being a werewolf was great, and felt powerful but fair in the mid game. but, late in bg1, sod, and early soa started getting tense.
then i reached level 13. i decided to see what the hype was while taking on the eyeless cult.
I. felt. invincible.
no spells could effect me. no attacks could hit me. no matter how many summon spells they cast, i let my party stand back and GAZE as i slaughtered a dozen priests, skeletons, and animals who must have felt bitter anger over being summoned just to die.
-15AC. 6 THAC0. 50% resistance to almost all elements and magic. even if they hit me, the regeneration renders it null in SECONDS.
i wasn't even buffed. it was genuinely the happiest i've felt in weeks. this is amazing. this is ridiculous. i know it won't last like this forever but this is such a joyous point in the saga for me.
anyways, i just wanted to express joy over picking such a unique kit (with no knowledge whatsoever of the community or games). i know the community has its mixed views over shapeshifter (i think) so let this be a first hand account: it's awesome.
