Asked the girl out from work, am I overthinking this?
Slowly over the course of a year or so I have introduced myself to a woman at work who I find attractive. Mostly some small talk and a quick “hi”. We work different shifts with different breaks and lunch times. About a month ago our lunches aligned one day and we were talking and I asked her to join me and we had lunch that seemed too short.
We were not able to do that again due to scheduling issues so I sent her a message through teams about going for coffee.
She responded enthusiastically and suggested a specific coffee shop she likes. We went back and forth a bit. She confirmed her lunch schedule worked but when I explained my schedule had changed she offered early July as an alternative since her weekends are booked until then. We agreed on early July and left it at that.
This was last week.
My questions:
.Should I nail down a specific date and get her number now or wait until closer to July?
.Never pursued someone at work before and it’s throwing me off, am I missing anything?
Any advice or observations appreciated.
PS. My job is replaceable and there is not a fraternization policy where I work.
