With this subs help this is the vanity station I have built/put together as a surprise for my wife.

Any last minute changes I could do? She's home in 2 hours! I ended up getting 2 types of light up mirrors (round one with light is a better quality thing but the other has multiple magnifications). Heat pad for straighteners as well as the glass top for the table, and moved her existing box of makeup stuff onto the new table. I also set it up facing a window, so she can put the blind up for natural light if that's better. Light in the far right is just for a warmer light, I thought it was cute, but could remove that for more space.

Thanks so much!

EDIT/UPDATE - She seems to like it so thatnks for all your advice. I took advice from commenters here and added some (Lego) flowers we had around, and also I grabbed a small chest or drawers we had lying around and put it under the right had side of the desk. So theres some storage there now for whatever. Straighters are on top of that as its a nice kind of shelf as well.

Hi, would anyone please offer advice for a surprise vanity station for my wife?

Hi all,

My wife left for a hen-do on Friday and when we were chatting whilst she was getting ready I noticed that to do her makeup she was having to awkwardly lean over our bathroom sink to get close enough to a mirror, it looked annoying I think so I had an idea that whilst she was away I would set her up a vanity table and mirror that she could use instead. So I have bought an IKEA MALM dressing table (120 X 41cm) that has a pullout drawer for storage and a cute light to go on it. I have also bought a Vanity mirror, which opens up with some different magnifications and has lights built into it.

I have gone quite cheap in pricing for this as she isn't big into makeup stuff, but if the table is gunna be too small, or you would advise me that that mirror is too cheap and won't provide enough light or something id rather hear it now so I can potentially grab something more. Budget isn't really an issue, just trying to not be needlessly spending.

If there's anything else you think I should add to it please let me know. We have a chair that will go perfectly already.

If it matters my wife is 33, pale skin, and we're in the UK.

Thanks so much for your help.
