I've been in a friend group for a while and theres one person who really brings us down every time we hang out. To keep it brief and since I’m new here I’ll just say what the main things going on is :

They (21F)start fights over things like they love the drama or som

They make comments that nobody really talks about like just passive aggressive things or those type of remarks that are low key insults or just unnecessary

They get really upset over jokes, which makes everyone walk on eggshells around them

Then they create drama that lasts for days in relation to all these things

The thing is people have stopped inviting them to stuff. It's like everyone just stopped making plans with them. Nobody has actually told them why. I get that nobody wants to have a conversation but is there a way to be like kind about this? Like don’t we need to explain to close it for good ?How do you tell someone they're pushing everyone away without making things worse?

Has anyone else dealt with this before? How did you have the conversation?. Is it better to just keep avoiding them and hope things change? I'd love some advice or stories, about situations.
