I took the time to get some feedback, and opted to remove the original upload. It was more of a draft at that time, and it didn't convey what I had originally wanted. Granted, some of the wording here is purposeful, but there were a lot of issues with the original chapter. I hope this part in her story hits better for people now, as its a pretty important turning point for her.

It’s about a Velvet (eventually) gett a happy ending, albeit they’ve gotta go through some… stuff first. I’m particularly going by the cas:u EPDA entry, where they’re much less stereotyped, and no longer explicitly cannibalistic. Makes for better characterization than all of them being crazy killers. Got a good bit planned for them, and this ain’t gonna be a free ride to happiness either.
