I have a twelve year old.

Right now it’s tough. My wife and I have full custody, but in a week he will go visit his mom in another state, and he’s kind of ….detaching.

So, he is cleaning the kitchen tonight, and asks if he can play music. I tell him that’s fine, he’s doing work. I go downstairs with the baby.

Out from the kitchen comes a beautifully curated late 90s Midwest emo playlist. Get Up Kids, The Promise Ring, The Anniversary We are a half hour in and this kid has exquisite taste…..

This kid will be ok.
