Just upgraded my driver from an FT-3 Fusion Big Bertha from Callaway to a Sim2 Max from Taylormade. Man the difference is huge! I hit it at the range today for the first time and I felt like I gained 30 yards! That might be an exaggeration but it jumps off the face so easily as I can control the ball flight much more easily.
Paid 400 CAD (just under 300 USD), seller said it only has 25-30 rounds on it. Face is in pristine condition, came with the headcover not pictured.
I am trying to get more consistent and I want to start utilizing some smarter course management strategies such as only using clubs I can hit decently well. With all that said, is it acceptable to go hit a bucket of balls with just a 7 iron and a pitching wedge? I want to solidify my iron play and haven't had time for a lesson to work out the problems I have with driver and 3 wood.
I went to try some putters today and got sucked back into the Scotty section. I want to buy my first Newport but would like to know the differences and pros/cons for these two putters. Can anyone help me out? I found a used Super Select for a decent price vs the Studio which I would have to shell out for.
