First shots on my first camera; any tips?

Hey guys, just got my first camera from my mom (canon eos 5d mk iii) and was wondering if yall had tips? Completely brand new to this and wanna get as much practice in before i go to gumball 3000 next sunday

Struggling with editing in lightroom and stuff, dont really know what im doing lol just moving sliders. Tips?
