Upper premolar extractions, the right side is almost closed but the left side has this 3mm gap that hasn't moved in 6+ months!

Every time I go for an appointment my Orthodontist just shrugs it off and says "We'll keep trying" and doesn't change anything. Been using two power chains for a few months and elastics on the back molars (though this gap is between my canine and front teeth).

Mostly wondering if anyone else had this happen? What did they do to close it? Maybe something I can ask my Ortho to do at my next appointment in a few days.
