Hi, I’m pretty clueless on PC stuff so i was hoping to get some advice on whether i should let my PC go or buy new parts for it. For context, its 10-15 years old (built by a family friend) and was running fine up until last year. The first major issue was this loud ringing from one of the fans which i cannot replace myself due to a screw being stuck. This became tolerable, however, just recently, anytime i try and run a game it immediately freezes and i cannot do anything but a hard reset. Additionally, the NVIDIA app can no longer be installed on the PC so I can’t properly update my graphics driver. If i were to spend the money on fixing my current PC, I’d be worried it would just start to fail again. With that being said, would be be safer to just buy a new PC?

Also, if i were to abandon my current PC, whats the best way to ensure that used parts are in good condition to sell?

Thank you!
