Pit-Hag creates a demon while the Mastermind effect is activated??

Dear BotC Community,

I have a custom script which includes the Pit-Hag, the Mastermind, the Lycanthrope and the Snake Charmer (plus the Vizier and the Vortox, quite a combo).

If the Mastermind triggers (when the game would be over), the Pit-Hag may still create a Demon at night. Players may die (from the Pit-Hag or from the Lycanthrope) and the game can continue.

Multiple questions:

  • Does the Mastermind effect continue next day after the Demon character has been "restored" to life? This means, does the good team lose if they execute? (Same question for when the alive Snake Charmer chooses the dead demon and turns into the actual Demon.)
  • If the Mastermind effect continues, does it require the game to end after the next day even if a new Demon has been created? (Would be unfair for the good team, if a Demon is recreated.)
  • according to the Wiki, the Vizier is only declared after night 1. When a Pit-Hag creates a Vizier in a later night, I intuitively would also declare the Vizier after that night. Is this valid?

Thank you.

Fang Gu destroy the Teensytown

For our hobby group, we experimented to make scripts that are optimal for newbies to start into the game, basically no characters that alter winning conditions or end the game, are difficult to play. Only characters that enable drunkenness under limited deducible conditions (Innkeeper, Village Idiot, Sweetheart). (Sweetheart + Fang Gu replace the Drunk character in a friendlier way I'd say.)

The demons had to be sufficiently strong for a newbie to win the game and it actually works. Among them is the Fang Gu (besides Imp and Zombuul). In the Teensyville setup however, we found, it is too strong.

With 6 players, we had the Fang Gu, the Devil's Advocate, 2 outsiders and 2 Townsfolk (Village Idiot + Innkeeper). The Fang Gu killed the Sweetheart at night 2 who became the new Fang Gu! No-one expected that a Townsfolk became drunk by now (after the Village Idiot had already figured out the Devil's Advocate). However, the game was already pretty unwinnable for the good team by then, because the ratio of good players was at 50%.

I have added a homebrew rule that says that the dead Fang Gu does not count anymore into the vote talley/ballot (even if the vote token is used). This would compensate the extra evil player and the Demon does not get too weak I think. In our case, evil had won even without the vote of the dead Fang Gu (because the Sweetheart turned the game around quite much).
